Our Story
In my lifetime, I have never seen human society not consumed by the virtual world.
Throughout my childhood years I heard phrases like “back in my day” and “the problem with this generation” more than a few times, with the internet and cell phones taking the blame for many of shortcomings in the younger generations.
Younger me would hear that and roll my eyes. Looking back now, I see these concerns from a different perspective.

As I continue to age, mature, and be introduced to today’s social and professional world, I have realized that the domination of virtual communication, while an essential element to our modern world, is detrimental to the ability for younger people to connect face to face.
Building relationships through a screen is easy. Communicating with others through emojis is fun and mindless. No vulnerability or confrontation required.

What about the opportunity to build valuable, long-term relationships in person?

I live in a city where forming real-life connections with others is nothing short of challenging, an experience I know is shared by many.
That’s how NextGen Montreal was born.

My desire to bring young, business-minded individuals together and provide the opportunity to form authentic, sustainable connections is fueled by my personal struggles to find similar opportunities.
The valuable connections formed at our events will ultimately open the right doors and become essential building blocks to a successful career.
